Mouth cold sores or fever blisters, are small blisters on and around the mouth. In most severe cases, the mouth cold sores spread on the insides of the oral cavity, and affect the alveolar ridge, the back of the tongue, the gums, and hard plate. Some times, mouth cold sores even affect the face.
