A tropical storm warning was issued Sunday for the Florida Panhandle as a newly formed depression swirled off the coast and threatened to bring rain and possible flooding to the area. The warning was issued for areas east of the Alabama state line to the Suwanee River. Rainfall of 3 to 5 inches was forecast, with isolated showers of up to 10 inches in northwest Florida, forecasters said.
